Video notes
A big request for video notes came in from a few users, so I implemented them — and guess what… they're the main way I've been using the app this week. Not sure if it's a shiny-new-feature thing, but I'm loving them.

Golden Gate support
The app was simply not working after updating to Golden Gate. That's fixed and stable now.
Improved keyboard controls
Something that was really needed was better keyboard controls, so I've gone and implemented them. You can tab through the input, use arrow keys to navigate notes, and more. A full breakdown is in the keyboard shortcuts help section.
Note archiving
You'll notice a new little icon next to the delete note icon — that's to archive a note so you can bring it back later from the archive (accessible via the footer of the app).
Add another…
The text input now has an Add another checkbox which will post your text note and keep the text area active, ready to take another note right away.
Cache clearing
You won't notice this one, but the app now cleans up after itself — clearing old media from the cache folder and keeping storage to a minimum.

Open with Thoughts
Images now have an Open With context menu which opens Thoughts and immediately adds an image as a note — making it super easy and fast to add images to the app.
Keyboard shortcuts
I've added some new ones to the app: ⌘N starts a new note, and ⌘R starts a new voice recording.
Double click preferences
You can decide what a double click on the menubar icon does — start a new note or a new recording. I find this really useful for quickly taking voice notes from my Mac, then transcribing them to text… and badda boom, a text note ready to copy, paste, and share.
Drag into menubar
You can drag images straight into the menubar now, which is really useful for quickly saving screenshots and then transcribing, fixing spelling, changing the case, or even translating with AI.
